Summit Finuas Network Launch

The Summit Finuas network was launched in the Clarion IFSC, Dublin. Munster Finuas Network Launch

The Munster Finuas Network, promoted by Cork Chamber, was officially launched on Monday 19th October in Jurys Cork Hotel by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Micheál Martin T.D. Mr. William Slattery of State Street International Ltd. delivered an excellent keynote address which focused on the continued competiveness of Ireland in the international financial services sector. The Munster region was presented as a thriving and expanding hub for the international financial services sector in Ireland. Munster Finuas Network aims to support this sector through the development of an innovative and dynamic supporting educational and up-skilling infrastructure. The launch was a great success, with representation from many of the organisations within the region who are involved in or work with the sector.

ICBE Finuas Network Launch

The ICBE Finuas Network, which is dedicated to the Airfinance sector in Ireland, was officially launched on Thursday 8th October 2009 at an event hosted by Matheson Ormsby Prentice and Aviareto. Ireland is now recognised as a Centre of Excellence for the Airfinance industry. All of the major global players have a presence in Ireland providing high quality employment both directly but also indirectly in the specialist professional service providers working with the industry. The ICBE Finuas Network will support this niche but critically important sector in maintaining and enhancing Ireland’s position as a global leader the Airfinance industry. Speakers at the event discussed current issues for Irish Aviation policy and in particular the implications of the Cape Town Convention.

Tánaiste Launches Finuas Networks Programme

The Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment launched the Finuas Networks Programme 2009–10 in the IFSC on Wednesday February 18th, 2009.

Speaking at the launch Skillnets Chairman, Domhnall MacDomhnaill stated "The international financial services industry in Ireland has become one of our most important economic sectors and has done so by building on a talent pool that ranks with the best in the world. The Finuas Networks Programme is the right initiative at the right time for the sector. It will form part of a new foundation for a better, more accountable and wiser industry that has, let us not forget, contributed so much to our prosperity in the last decade and will do so again".
